Woodfruits was established in 2002 and is a producer of exotic and gourmet mushrooms. Woodfruits of Norfolk grows mushrooms by controlling a natural process using native hardwood sourced locally. We grow a range of quality mushrooms year round using substrate blocks and traditional log cultivation.

Having taken a piece of neglected marginal land which has a natural micro-climate conducive to wild mushrooms, we have sympathetically inserted our mushroom growing business which gives us a natural environmental advantage.

Woodfruits is designed to be beyond zero carbon.

We have our own solar based power supply, we harvest rainwater for the process and harvest biomass for the heating system. Along with the planting of trees and by good design, we store more carbon than we use. We believe in sustainable farming on marginal land with minimal impact on the environment.
